For the first time, the Estonian Embassy in London took part in Open House London, the capital’s largest festival of architecture and design in the United Kingdom. The Embassy had a pleasure to welcome almost 200 visitors in four groups on 17 September.
Visitors asked many questions about the Estonian nature, a Nordic inspiration of Estonian designers and architects that have performed in their work in the Embassy, process of renovations of the Victorian period building, as well about the current developments in Estonia.
“We are delighted to see such a vast interest of Londoners and guests of London from different parts of the UK particularly in our Embassy building but also in Estonia generally,” said Ambassador Lauri Bambus. Best questions were awarded with Estonian souvenirs.
The Embassy would like to thank everyone who visited “Estonia in London” and also Margit Argus from KAOS Architects for talking about the renovation of the building and young talented musicians Mirjam Mesak and Harry Põldra for their musical performances.
