Foreign Minister Kaljurand takes part in cyber experts’ meeting in New York and an event marking the 25th anniversary of the restoration of independence of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in Stockholm

On Monday, 29 August Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand takes part in a UN cyber experts’ task force working group in New York where they discuss the opportunities of ICT in the context of international law and security. Kaljurand will also make a speech at a side event on the private and public sectors’ cyber defence cooperation, organized by the Permanent Mission of Estonia to the UN.

On Tuesday, 30 August Foreign Minister Kaljurand is in Stockholm where she will meet with her Latvian, Lithuanian and Swedish colleagues. The meeting marks the 25th anniversary of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania restoring independence. Ministers will discuss regional security, Nordic-Baltic cooperation, Ukraine-Russia conflict and cooperation and future of the EU. In addition, Foreign Minister will also speak at a seminar “Freedom of the press and free speech: Defending our democratic values” taking place in Stockholm.
