Estonia won the first medal in Rio de Janeiro Olympics


Estonian quadruple sculls team - Kaspar Taimsoo, Allar Raja, Tõnu Endrekson and Andrei Jämsä - won the bronze medal in Rio Olympics on 11 August 2016. Estonians were third with a great time 6:10.65, just following gold and silver medalists, respectively Germany and Australia. Estonian team coach is Matti Killing.


Raja, Jämsä and Taimsoo won the first Olympic medal in their sport career, while Endrekson won silver medal with Jüri Jaanson on double sculls in Beijing Olympic Games 8 years ago.
